On the weekend of 25-26 October 2025, Timor Port employees took part in an unforgettable hike to the summit of Mount Ramelau, the highest point in Timor-Leste  (2,963 meters). This activity, organized under the leadership of the Managing Director, brought together employees from different departments, united by the same desire to enjoy a human and collective experience outside the professional setting.

Leaving Dili on Saturday afternoon, the participants spent the night in Hato-Builico before beginning the ascent at 1:30 a.m. It was in an atmosphere of motivation, solidarity and enthusiasm that the teams reached the summit of Ramelau at sunrise, sharing a powerful moment of self-transcendence and communion with nature.

“This hike was more than a physical challenge—it strengthened connections among colleagues, fostered collective energy, and reminded us that Timor Port’s success is built on the cohesion and collaboration of its teams.”

Celestina Manek, Human Resources Manager at Timor Port

Beyond physical performance, this initiative proved to be a real opportunity for sharing, exchange and conviviality among employees. It generated considerable enthusiasm among staff, who praised the organization and spirit of unity that characterized the entire activity.

Given this success and the enthusiasm expressed by participants, Timor Port now plans to make this type of activity an annual event, as part of its internal programme for cohesion and well-being at work.
