
Organized in collaboration with the Alola Foundation and the medical Clinic DMC, the main objective of this activity was to provide essential information on breast cancer prevention, early detection and the importance of regular screening and self-examination.
According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO), breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, with more than 2.3 million new cases diagnosed each year. Early detection and regular screening remain the most effective ways to reduce mortality from this disease.
This initiative illustrates Timor Port’s strong commitment to promoting women’s health, prevention and empowerment. The invited experts shared valuable knowledge on recognizing early signs, breaking taboos and the need to encourage dialogue around women’s health.
