
From August 7 to 8, 2025, Timor Port, a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), participated in the Timor-Leste Australia Economic & Business Conference (TLAUC 2025) held at the Dili Convention Center. As a key player in Timor-Leste’s logistics chain, Timor Port showcased its expertise in port handling and its vision to support the country’s economic growth.
Jointly organized by the Australian Government, the Government of Timor-Leste, Tradelnvest Timor-Leste, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Timor-Leste Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this high-impact conference brought together over 300 business leaders from Australia and Timor-Leste. More than 40 companies took part to explore investment opportunities and build sustainable economic partnerships between the two countries.
During a panel titled “Manufacturing Stream: Pathways for Growth – Strategic Opportunities and Sectoral Prospects”, Rafael Ribeiro, Chairman of Timor Port, spoke to emphasize the importance of modern and efficient port infrastructures in boosting regional trade. He particularly highlighted the strategic role of Timor Port in facilitating trade between Timor-Leste and ASEAN member states, with a specific focus on logistics connections with Australia.
