- Pedestrian Free Yard: an internal process at Bolloré Ports, pedestrian free yard corresponds to a terminal without pedestrians. Employees will follow strict rules of movement within it to ensure their safety.
- Traffic flow: Strict traffic monitoring procedures have been put in place during offshore and onshore operations to ensure organized, safe and efficient unloading and loading of all vessels.
- ISPS CODE: Timor Port is in the process of obtaining ISPS (International Ship and Port Security) certification, which is the international code for ship and port facility security initiated by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Its application enables maritime transport to be secured, as well as illicit acts against ships or port installations.
In concrete terms, Timor Port has implemented the obligations of the ISPS Code, namely
- Determination of which port facilities should have a security plan;
- The appointment of a security officer for each port facility;
- the approval of the facility security assessment; and
- the appointment of a recognized security body;
- issuing declarations of compliance with the ISPS Code;
- conducting mandatory annual audits.
